Federer, Serena Williams devastated and shocked for the Wimbledon cancellation

Roger Federer and Serena Williams have two Wimbledon 15 times together (8 Roger and 7 Serena), and even if they are both 38, they were considered among the top favorites to win the championships.

Given their age, Roger and Serena will not have many more shots at winning another slam and the disruption of the tennis season will shorten their chances anymore. While Roger confirmed his presence in Halle for next year, he will be 1 month shy from being 40 when he will try to win the Championships in 2021.

Soon after the officiation of the Championships, both Roger and Serena had a rather short, but strong reaction on twitter. Roger said he was “devastated” while Serena confirmed to be simply “shocked.” This is how we all feel: devasted and shocked.
