Cori Gauff is currently in Florida where she is enduring these weird moments ruled by the Coronavirus pandemic. Being in a lockdown is extremely tough from a mental point of view and Coco shared her advice to the other teenagers that are now having home-schooling.

The 16-year-old commented: “I live in a family of five and the house is going crazy. For all the kids, you may think ‘no school, we are on a break’ but it’s still important for him to exercise your mind just as it is important to exercise your body.”

Coco’s mother Candi and aunt Joi created a resource for families to comment:

“What we’re trying to do is have students stay on a schedule. Get up in the morning, and put some clothes on, and that really stems from our upbringing. We couldn’t be in our PJ’s all day.

Start something at 8 o’clock. It could be breakfast, it could be reading time, it could be vocabulary words. Then do something – and then mid day – have lunch, just as you would do during a regular school day.”
