Like some other athletes, Naomi Osaka is spending some of her time during this Coronavirus pandemic hosting QA sessions.

The Japanese wasn’t very pleased when a fan asked said to be confused about her ethnicity. The former world no.1 (rightly so) replied: “Ethnicity: I am black and Asian. It’s not that confusing.”

Naomi is a fantastic example of multi-ethnicity. Her father Leonard Francois is from Haiti while her mother Tamaki is from Japan. Osaka is proud of her origins and she was rather upset 1 year ago when one of her sponsor, Nissin, depicted the Japanese with pale skin in an advertisement.
