There are many doubts about the possibility that the Olympic Games in Tokyo will take place this year and some players seem to decide not to go for it anyway.
Grigor Dimitrov agreed to play the World Team Tennis on July the 28th whose date collides wi the Olympics that are due to commence the 24th of July. Therefore, it’s safe to say that the Bulgarian sensation decided not to play the Olympics or probably he knows already that the competition won’t take place anyway.
This was Grigor’s statement
“I am really excited to play World Team Tennis for the Orange County Breakers this summer. I think the team format will be a lot of fun and I look forward to playing in front of the Breakers fans on July 28.”
Breakers general manager Allen Hardison commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Grigor Dimitrov to the Orange County Breakers. Grigor is one of the top players in the world and he is always a fan favorite at every tournament he plays. I know our fans will enjoy seeing him play live and with the rival Aviators in town that night it will make for a great atmosphere.”
