Radwanska "is too hot to play tennis"

Extreme, very extreme conditions in Sydney. Agnieszka has just finished to play her match with 42-year-old Kimiko Date-Krumm to urge the organisation to suspend the play when the temperature is so extreme.

Today it was 40 celcius degree in Sydney and that is something that could harm players. Wisely enough the tournament has an Extreme Heat Policy, but it can be applied at the dicretion of the organizers.

“Trying to survive”

‘‘This is too hot to play tennis,’’ Radwanska said ‘‘Even for players, for ball kids, for the people sitting out there, it’s just too hot.’’

‘‘The first main thing is just to stay calm and trying to survive’’  she added.

At least she Radwanska was lucky as she had to play only 70 minutes to down Date-Krumm 6-4 6-3 and a good news is that according to the weather forecast the temperature should drammatically decrease starting from tomorrow.
