Weird stuff in the WTA domain as the event in Stuttgart has been canceled “unilaterally” by the organization.
The WTA announced a 5 weeks’ ban with the intention to “save” the Porsche Open. However, according to reports, the organization announced that given the uncertainty, the event will not take place.
A Porsche spokesman still commented: “The city of Stuttgart has not specified a specific period for the measures taken today. Therefore, we cannot say at the current time whether and in what form the Grand Prix can take place. The health of everyone involved is a top priority for us, and we are in constant communication with the responsible authorities and the WTA.”
Rhetorical q,hope they will!+ need to!So many tournaments cancelled. Not only bad for the players but also the people who have tickets for tournaments(have them for Porsche tennis+luckily was able to cancel my apartment just NOW due to your info)WTA:make a statement! Its 😒overdue

The confusion
It’s a very tricky time also from an economical point of view. However, strong leadership often emerges in these moments of crises and many were not satisfied by the WTA. Sorana Cirstea was prompt in retweeting the disappoint from fans and journalists.
