CORONAVIRUS. Why Djokovic keeps Monte Carlo in his schedule

So... will the tournament in the Principality take place?

Djokovic Schedules

Novak Djokovic was among the top players that have been vocal about the Coronavirus and the opportunity to get back home as soon as possible. The Serbian sensation got one of the last flights back to Europe with his team in the last few hours to be reunited with his lovely family and friends.

It’s interesting to see that the world no.1 deleted the Miami Open from his schedules (the tournament was canceled after a few hours) while he kept alive Monte Carlo, which is also his official residence. In addition, Nole is still scheduled to play in Madrid, Rome, Paris, and Wimbledon.

Will the Monte Carlo Masters be played?

The event is meant to commence on the 12th of March, which would be in 1 month. However, there is a lot of uncertainty as there are rumors that the ATP and the WTA will stop for 6 weeks and that means that the tournament in the Principality will not take place.

Of course, Nole cannot take out the tournament from his schedule unless it is officially canceled. The organization said that they will everything they can to stage the tournament. Also, in this case, time will tell.
