Confusion is spreading all over the world and in the tennis community alongside the coronavirus. Indian Wells has been canceled and it seems inevitable that the Miami Open will have the same fate (we are still waiting for the official announcement). Many European tennis players are rushing back home as soon as they heard the 30-days ban of the flights between US and Europe imposed by Donald Trump. Stefanos Tsitsipas had a different idea. It seems as the Greek sensation decided to remain in Indian Wells to train in what he calls the “tennis paradise.” Here he posted a nice video of him practicing with his father.
While the Greek seems to have a (sort of clear) plan, other tennis players vented their frustration about the immediate future. Sacha Zverev published a post asking… “What’s next” while Kirsten Flipkens declared her frustration for the unknown.
There are rumors about a 6-weeks’ stop for all the ATP/WTA events and that may be announced in the next few hours.
Im feeling so useless!! What are we practicing for? For Guadalajara? For Miami? For French Open? For.. what? 😑 Also, IF Guadalajara is a go.. Do I want to go there? Not sure if I can get back to Belgium with more and more rumours about closing borders??

Stefanos Tsitsipas’s ranking and performance in 2020
Ranked no.6, Stefanos played his last match on the 7th of March when he defeated Jeson Patrombon 6-2 6-1 in the Rubber 4 of the Davis Cup.
At the moment, this season the Greek has a 11-5 win-loss record. Tsitsipas has won 1 title in Marseille. The Greek was the finalist in Dubai.
Alexander Zverev’s ranking and performance in 2020
Now the world no.7, Alexander played his last match on the 26th of February when he lost to Tommy Paul 6-3 6-4 in the 2nd round in Acapulco.
Alexander Zverev’s best result of the current year was getting to the semi-finals at the Australian Open.
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alexander Zverev played each other 6 times. The head to head is 5-1 for Tsitsipas. The last time that they played, Stefanos Tsitsipas won 6-1 6-4 in the round robin in Brisbane, Perth, Sydney (ATP Cup) on the 5th of January 2020.
