Bad news for the tennis fans as it seems more and more likely that the Miami Open will not be played because the Coronavirus is spreading furiously all over the world. A few days ago, the organization came out with an official statement saying that they were moving forward and the tournament was still on. However, the US is starting to take precautions against the virus to ban also travel with Europe (the countries in the Schengen area).
The NBA has also been stopped after a player was found positive and according to many sources the Miami Open will also be canceled. Sky Italy reported this news (to be confirmed). Apparently, Fabio Fognini also informed his father about the cancellation and there are all sorts of reports all over the places by top journalists.
According to usually reliable sources an announcement is brewing to the effect that the Miami Open is officially off.
