Azarenka withdraws from Indian Wells to be replaced by Zvonareva

Azarenka Zvonareva

Victoria Azarenka and Vera Zvonareva are former world no.1 and 2 and they are struggling to get back to the top of the rankings. The Belarussian has been facing personal issues for long since a legal battle that involved the custody of her son. Vika skipped the Australian summer for “personal reasons” and she was back to competitions in Monterrey where she lost easily to Tamara Zidansek.

Vika was the Indian Wells champion in 2012 and 2016 and unfortunately she had to withdraw to be replaced by Vera Zvonareva that is currently ranked no.319, but she is playing rather good tennis right now.
