Tsitsipas explains what he needs to do to emulate Djokovic’s winning streak

Stefanos talks about what it takes to achieve Nole's record

Stefanos about winning as much as Djokovic

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Novak Djokovic are in great terms and were never shy in saying how much they respect each other.

The Serbian sensation is on a 21-matches winning streak and this is not the first time that the world no.1 has achieved this feat. When Stefanos was asked about this record, he replied:

“Personally I think it is possible [having this winning streak]. I’m not surprised he has done it. I want to do it one day too. It’s a good combination of good rehab, having a good in-between match scheduling, how well you recover after every match. Your diet plays an important role. Also, your mental state, having a clear mental state, not having anything bother you.”

Then Stefanos commented on the opportunity for him to emulate Novak to say: “I’ve been playing some good tennis. I’ve never had the record that Djokovic has. But I do think it’s possible. Of course, lots of respect to him for doing it so many times.”

The Greek is currently in the Philippines where he is playing the Davis Cup, before heading to Indian Wells to commence his Sunshine Double.
