2013 Apia International WTA Sydney: Women’s draw and preview

The Women’s draw in Sydney is quite interesting. We miss the top 3 players in the world, but we have the rest of the pack.

The reason why the women’s draw has more top players than the men’s comes from the fact that ladies have to play “only” best of 3 matches at the Australian Open while men have to endure a bigger effort to play best of 5 epics.

Stosur

Sam Stosur will have once again the daunting task to prove she can make it in Australia where she has lost the 4 matches out of 5 in the last 4 tournaments between 2012 and 2013.

H1 – Radwanska

What’s interesting is Radwanska calendar has she is currently playing in Auckland (where she has reached the final), to play Sydney and Melbourne back to back (too much?). Agnieszkawas seeded no.1 heer in Sydney.
