Stunning Baghdatis to play Dimitrov in Brisbane final 4

The second men’s semifinal is quite interesting at the 2013 Brisbane International. On one side we have a surprising Baghdatis that still has to lose a set in this tournament, on the other we have Dimitrov (baby Federer) that has upset a couple of seeded players losing only 12 games in 2 matches.

Baghdatis – Simon 6-3 6-4

It must be the Australian air or the local suport, but Marcus has always something more when playing in Australia. It took  81 minutes to dispatch Simon (seeded no.3). Marcus blasted 6 aces to break Simon 3 times and been broken only 1.

Dimitrov – Melzer 6-3 6-2

Beby Fed is growing and he is hving a very good match here in Brisbane to defeat Raonic 6-3 6-4 and now Melzer 6-3 6-2. Grogro blasted an incredible 17 aces on 9 service game to break Melzer 3 times (always at the first time asking) and to defend all 4 break point he conceded to the German.

Head to Head

Baghdatis and Dimitrov played twice winning one match each. Baghdatis won this year in Wimbledon (7-5 4-1 ret), Dimitrov in Munich 2011 3-6 7-6(6) 6-2
