Taylor Fritz is having an outstanding week in Acapulco where he reached the final to be 1 (big) step from claiming his first ATP500. The 22-year-old defeated John Isner in the semifinal and he is getting closer to snatching from him the spot as the American no.1

After reaching the final in Acapulco, Taylor gained 11 places in the live rankings to be the new no. 24 and that will be a career-high from next Monday. However, if Fritz beat Rafael Nadal in the final (a big “if”), he will have 1710 points vs. Isner’s 1760.
