Great Tomic upsets Djokovic at the Hopman Cup

Can you beleive it? Tomic is really getting on the right track!!!

After his horrid 2012, Bernard is showing he want to be someone in professional tennis. The Australian has just defeated Haas in an incredible 3 setter  and now beats the world no.1 (and the strongest player at the moment) in straight sets!!!

The Hopman Cup does not bring any point or important prize money, but it is still a very important test, and Bernard’s match is a very important signal about what this guy can achieve in his career.

From Tomic

It is a very difficult strategy to play these sort of players and I am thankful for the opportunity to play Novak,” Tomic said.

“I was really nervous but I knew I had trained a lot in the last few months and I had worked hard on my physique and my serve.”

Serbian won 2-1

The tie was eventually won by Serbia as Ana Ivanovic defeated Ashleigh Barty 6-2 6-3 and Nole and Ana won the mixed doubles 6-4 6-7(8) 10-8, but Tomic’s victory was something really important for Australian tennis hopes.
