Anisimova and Sharapova

Maria Sharapova “shocked” the tennis world after she announced her retirement at 32 years of age. The Russian beauty has been struggling for long with all sorts of injuries and finally decided to call it a career.

Maria inspired the next generation with her grit and incredible story that started when she emigrated to the United States at a very young age. Eventually, Maria won 5 slams, and 36 titles to become one of the most recognized athletes in the world.

Amanda Anisimova is widely considered as the “new Sharapova” for a wealth of reasons. Besides having a similar appearance, she also has her origins from Russia. Amanda has always admitted that Sharapova was her childhood idol and interesting enough; she is managed also by the same agency as Maria’s.
