Stefanos Tsitsipas

Stefanos Tsitsipas is getting better and better. The Greek sensation is looking more and more confident on court also when he tries to go deep in tournaments in consecutive weeks. The world no.6 won a “comfortable” title in Marseille last week and now he reached the quarters in Dubai with 2 straight-sets wins. What is more impressive is that he is growing in the mentality of winning “fast” his matches to save energy to get at the later stages of the tournament as fresh as possible.

After defeating Alexander Bublik in Dubai, Stefanos commented:

“Things were going quite well, although we reached the tie-break in the first set. I knew I needed to serve well and takes risks, which gave me confidence. I experimented a little bit with other things in the second set. I’m trying to save as much energy as I can on court. I’ve had two two-sets wins this week and I need to keep the right attitude on the court.”
