Simona Halep bests Aryna Sabalenka 3-6 6-2 6-2 in the quarter in Dubai on Thursday. Halep will try to go further in the tournament when he will face Jennifer Brady in the semifinal.

Sabalenka won the set after she broke the Romanian in the 6^th (4-2) and in the 8^th (5-3) game. The Romanian tried to stage a comeback breaking in the 7^th (4-3) game. Nevertheless, Sabalenka refused to give way before winning the set 6-3.

2^nd set.

Halep came out strong at the beginning of the set after breaking Sabalenka in the 2^nd game (2-0). Nevertheless, that wasn’t sufficient for Halep to win the set since Sabalenka found the way to break back in the 3^rd (1-2) game. Halep kept her focus to break Aryna in the 4^th (3-1) and in the 8^th (6-2) game.

3^rd set.

Simona in this set stepped up in great fashion to overplay the Belarussian and without struggling too much she won 6-2 after breaking the Belarussian in the 4^th (3-1) and in the 8^th (6-2) game.
