Roger Federer gave a shocker to his fans after announcing that he had a knee operation. It was pretty clear that the Swiss legend used to struggle during the Australian Open. The communicate

Roger released the following communicate

“My right knee has been bothering me for a little while. I hoped it would go away, but after an examination, and discussion with my team, I decided to have arthroscopic surgery in Switzerland yesterday. After the procedure, the doctors confirmed that it was the right thing to have done and are very confident of a full recovery.

As a result, I will unfortunately have to miss Dubai, Indian Wells, Bogota, Miami and the French Open. I am grateful for everyone’s support. I can’t wait to be back playing again soon, see you on the grass!”

Back for the grass season

Roger will try to be ready for the grass season where he has great chances to win yet another title in Halle and his 21st slam in Wimbledon. Roger faced a similar situation in 2006 when he had an operation to his left knee. Eventually, he finds the solution to be back to glory the following year when he won one of the most significant titles of his great career at the Australian Open.

Obviously, many will say that his career is over as he will be almost 39 when he will be back. But can you ever count him out?
