Naomi Osaka was eager to defend her Australian Open title in Melbourne in January. However, things didn’t go really well for her as she had to bow as early as in the 3rd round to an exceptional Cori Gauff that beat her 6-3 6-4. That was part of a not so great start of the season as the Japanese sensation lost also in the semifinal in Brisbane and the only match that she played at the Fed Cup.
Nevertheless, Naomi didn’t miss the chance to celebrate her Australian Open outfit. A pretty one.
