Nadal is a bit worried and afraid about his comeback

The King of Clay is about to get back to tennis after a 7 months hiatus to still have some doubts about his fitness.

Some doubts

During a recent interview with Canal Plus he commented “I have my doubts. It’s normal, we are talking about a knee, so of course I am afraid to see how it is going respond,” Nadal said .

Trust the doctors

“But I can only trust my doctors and believe in myself and that everything will be all right.” he added.

Mixing periods of play and rest

“I’m prepared to accept that at the start my knee might not respond well and I may have to take it easy, mixing periods of play and rest for the first three months,” he said.

The Frustration

Rafa has been going through a period of immense frustration as he couldn’t grab the opportunity to be the flag bearer for Spain at the 2012 Olympic Games (something he was really keen on). From that moment on Rafa had to pull out the US Open, and the other competitions for the rest of the year.

The Hope

Then after a long rehabilitation Rafa finally had the green light from his doctors to get back to competitive tennis to resume his training on court to play the Mubadala World Tennis Championship at the end of December
