Rafa’s comeback is the topic of the moment. “Is he going to be fit?”, “Will he be back to his previous levels?” and “Is he going to retire any soon?” these are the typical question of the moment.
Rafa will stage his come back in Abu Dhabi in few days time for the Mubadala World Tennis Championship. That will be the moment of truth to see if super Rafa has achieved decent level of fitness.
From Wayne Ferreira
In the mean time there are all sorts of speculations about his comeback. Maybe Wayne Ferrera had the most lucid analysis to comment: ”If physically he’s fine he will go back to the previous level, but at the same time I think it’s very complicated.”
About a possible retirement
“Nadal will try to come back this year, but if something won’t work or if he couldn’t win something, then I think he will stop playing, he will retire. No-one plays just to play a tournament, he plays to win.” Wayne added.
About 2012 and 2013
The South African had also a couple of comments about the past and the coming season. “I think that for the moment what marked at most the season has been the triumph in Wimbledon of Federer and then the 302 weeks on top. In 2013 we have to expect more or less the same players at the centre of attention… maybe the ascent of Milos Raonic.”
