Dominic Thiem is back in Australia after his fantastic fortnight in Melbourne where he was inches from winning his maiden slam. The Austrias had a rather tough run Down Under and as soon as he arrived at the airport in Vienna he revealed that he decided to change the schedule, Therefore, he will skip the ATP250 in Buenos Aires (10th of February) to go straight to Rio (17th of February). Dominic wasn’t sure about playing the ATP1000 in Monte Carlo, but now it seems that he is a bit more happy to play in the Principality (13th April)

Currently ranked no.4 (career-high), the Austrian played his last match on the 2nd of February when he was overcome by Novak Djokovic 6-4 4-6 2-6 6-3 6-4 in the final of the Australian Open.
