Coco is climbing fast in the rankings

Coco Gauff had another fantastic run in Melbourne where she reached the 2nd week before bowing to the new champion, Sofia Kenin, in 3 sets. The 15-year-old has already reached the 4 round in Wimbledon and the 3rd round at the following US Open. After her recent run in Australian, Coco gained 16 places in the rankings to be the new world no.51 (career-high). Gauff is still the American no.8, but she is only 3 points shy from her compatriot Danielle Collins. The new American no.1 is now Sofia Kenin (7) followed by Serena Williams.
