Time for John to go back to London, trash Jeremy Bates 6-4, 6-1 and have some talks about professional Tennis.

The American shared his views  with a big accent on the big 4 (no surprise) and possible newcomers.

On Djokovic

Big Mac sees Nole to win at least 2 grand slams in 2013

“Novak’s had two years at No 1, so it wouldn’t be unheard of to feel like there’d be some type of let-down on some level. Maybe, then again, if he won two majors next year it wouldn’t be shocking.”

On Federer

John thinks that the Swiss Maestro’s performance  will start to decline in 2013. “This is around the time that something is going to give. Roger is amazing, no doubt about that, but he’s 31”

On Murray

The American spent lots of words on Andy. According to John the Scott needs to be more cheerful and to enjoy his new strenght and status a bit more

“It would be helpful to see Andy be sort of “I want to be here and I’m loving this. The next time he wins a Major it would be nice to look a little bit more excited,”

On Nadal

John is a bit worried about Rafa and he really hopes to see him around for some more time.

Rafa is the one we don’t know about, he hasn’t played for seven months. I hope to God he does have two or three more good years.”

Abour newcomers

There is a bit of concern around that fact thaqt there are no newcomers as players such as Raonic, Tomic and Dimitrov didn’t really manage to meet expectations.

According to McEnroe Del Potro would be the possible “newcomer” (well he has already matured)

“Del Potro to me would be the most obvious choice of who’s got the experience and knows what it’s like to go long and win one.

If he can stay healthy and get himself just a little bit fitter, which is what you’ve got to do against these guys. Then there’ll be someone sort of unknown.

I thought it was going to be Milos Raonic, but he’s sort of levelled off in a way, and I thought there were other guys that were in the mix that seem to have dropped off. But someone’s going  to appear.”

And Sampras?

Talking about newcomers… you may remember a new kid on the block that beat him when he was 19 at the 1990 US Open final. His Name? Pit Sampras!
