Simona Halep is in glorious form in Melbourne after she reached the final 4 without dropping a single set. The Romanian sensation impressed in the quarter-finals after she conceded just 2 games to Anett Kontaveit that was playing a great tournament.
The former world no.1 will face Garbine Muguruza in the semifinal that is also impressing with her tennis.
During the press conference that followed her quarterfinal, Simona sounded extremely confident and also ready to fight in hot conditions. The Romanian commented:
“Well, I like the heat. But I feel ready to face this weather. Actually we missed a little bit the hot weather here in Australia. So we will see tomorrow. I think it’s a good thing for me.
It’s the opposite this year. It’s better, though. I feel with more energy going to the semi-finals. I feel more confident. I feel my game. Tomorrow is going to be a tough one, I know that. I expect a very difficult match. But it’s semi-finals, so it should be like that.”
