Simona Halep exterminates Yulia Putintseva 6-1 6-4 in the 3^rd round in Melbourne on Saturday after playing a solid match to play Elise Mertens in the 4^th round.

1^st set.

Halep had a great start in this set after breaking Putintseva in the 2^nd game (2-0). Nevertheless, that wasn’t sufficient for Halep to win the set since Yulia found the way to break back in the 3^rd (1-2) game. The Romanian kept her cool to break Yulia in the 4^th (3-1) and in the 6^th (5-1) game before conquering the set (6-1).
