At 38 years of age Mahesh Bhupathi is thinking about his retirement.
The Indian player has been a top double player for so much time to have won an astonishing 51 titles.
In a recent interview he said “I’ve had a great career. I don’t enjoy leaving my baby alone and going for tours so much. I am happy to call it a day,
I’ve had the opportunity to play alongside many great players. From Todd Woodbridge to Max Mirnyi to Leander Paes to Mary Pierce to Martina Hingis, it has been a great ride for me,”
Bhupathi has teamed up with Bopanna in 2012 and he will likely play his last year with Nestor.
Mahesh now has a tennis academy in India and he has some other interests in sport and in Bollywood.
