MELBOURNE RESULTS. Superlative Djokovic blitzes Ito in the 2nd round

Novak Djokovic outpaces Tatsuma Ito 6-1 6-4 6-2 in the 2^nd round in Melbourne on Wednesday after playing a good match to clash against Yoshihito Nishioka in the 3^rd round.

Score, report, and key facts

1^st set.

Djokovic had a running start at the beginning of the set after breaking Ito in the 2^nd game (2-0) before consolidating his break and lead 5-0. Novak reinforced his lead after breaking Tatsuma in the 4^th (4-0) game before winning the set (6-1).

Certainly, a key moment was when the Serbian won 5 consecutive games in the 1^st set to change the scoreline from 0-0 to 5-0.

2^nd set.
