The Greek is clearly bidding to win his maiden slam and he had an ominous start in the 1st round after he conceded just 5 games to Salvatore Caruso in a 6-0 6-2 6-3 win with the full support of the local crowd.
With this walkover, Stefanos will have the luxury of a 3-days break from his previous match that could prove extremely beneficial in the later stages of the event.
