Nasty news for the former American no.1 It looked as he was ready to get back to tennis in Auckland, but unfortunately he has to skip New Zealand and even worse Melbourne.
The problem is always the same: his heart. Mardy have been struggling for almost one year because of a scary irregular heart beat.
Mardy did retire from the US Open when he had to play Federer for precautionary measures. Unfortunately the situation didn’t improve much. So Fish had to skip the Clash of Continents exhibition in Singapore (some say it was a “misunderstanding” with organisation).
Fish’s agent, John Tobias, said that they hoping he will be back for the ATP in San Jose due in February.
Let’s hope to have him back soon.
