MELBOURNE RESULTS. Astonishing Keys makes light work of Kasatkina in the 1st round of the Australian Open

Madison Keys brushes past Daria Kasatkina 6-3 6-1 in the 1^st round in Melbourne on Tuesday after playing a fantastic match to fight against Arantxa Rus in the 2^nd round.

Keys overpowered the opposition at the beginning of the set after breaking Kasatkina in the 2^nd game (2-0). Yet, the set was not over yet and there was more work to do for Keys to win the set because the Russian managed to break back in the 3^rd (1-2) and in the 7^th (3-4) game. Madison kept her cool to break the Russian in the 4^th (3-1) and in the 8^th (5-3) game before conquering the set (6-3).

2^nd set.

Keys won the set after she broke Darya 3 times in the 3^rd (2-1), in the 5^th (4-1) and in the 7^th (6-1) game. That break resulted decisive for Keys to conquer the set since she didn’t drop her serve in the rest of the set.
