The season is over and it is time to rest for the Swiss Maestro. But he will take only 2 weeks because he has to prepare his South American tour.
This trip is going to be about tennis, fun… and a bit of money… just a bit!
Brazil – Sau Paulo
The first stop is Sau Paulo for the Gilette Federer Tour where Roger will play Bellucci (6th of December), Tsonga (the 8th) and Ferrer (the 9th).
The Gilette Tour will feature also other top players such as he Bryans, Serena Willimas, Azarenka, Wozniacky, Sharapova and Tsonga.
Argentina – Buenos Aires
The second stop is Buenos Aires where the Maestro will play Del Potro twice the 12th and 13th of December trying to reverse his misfortune with the Argentine that defeated him in the last two matches in London and Basel.
Colombia – Bogota
The final stop is Bogota where Roger will play against Tsonga the 15th of December
From Roger
“I know I’m playing exhibitions, but I think my situation is pretty unique. I’ve never been to South America as a professional tennis player,” said the Maestro. “I couldn’t be more excited right now for that trip. “But I made sure I have a two-week vacation before that and the preparation for South America .”
“For me this is the beginning of the build-up and the workouts. And on top of it, it’s a lot of fun.
“Plus I’m not playing any exhibitions after that, like I have in the past. I’m not playing the first week of the year either. I’ve given myself enough space. It’s about just making sure you manage your schedule correctly.”
How Much Money?
Apparently Roger will earn a handsome 1.38mil USD for every match played… not bad (font: Blitck.ch).
That’s why he looks so happy in all pictures ;-)… good for him!
