Remarkable year, remarkable stuff from Nole. 2011 was an incredible year to be considered almost invincible (“almost” because Rafa was still the strongest on a best 5 on claycourts). 2012 was even better because there were much more challenges.
“I actually feel even more satisfied right now than last year, even though I had an incredible 2011,” he said. “ I feel this year, considering the circumstances that I had to face on and off the court, expectations, all these things, I believe that this year has been even more successful for me.”
Personal Challenges
The loss of his dear grandfather and the recent struggle of his father proved to be very taxing from a psycological point of view
“All in all, it was a fantastic year, where I’ve had to face a lot of difficulties off the court as well,” he added. “ Especially coming to this tournament, having my father fighting his own fight for health gave me extra strength that I wanted to play for him in a way.”
Good Stuff Nole… great year…
