Nole is still a category above Murray in terms of concentration to win most of the crucial points. The match didn’t start well for Nole that lost immediately his serve to be 0-2 down. From that moment on the Serb was just perfect. Even if he lost the opening set his focus was always very high to keep a strong drive and to be a costant threat for the Scott. As soon as he had the opportunity he broke Murray the first time of asking in the second set to level the score at 1 set all.
Nole was the first one to win a break in the deciding set to be broken at the very end. But the difference between the 2 was pretty clear. Nole swallowed any mistake to focus on the next point. Andy is still too emotional to continuously shout and swear and lose focus. Eventually the world no.1 won this 2 hours and 34 minutes epic.
Berdych – Tsonga 7-5 3-6 6-1
It took 1 hour and 52 minutes for Berdych to defeat Tsonga. The match became complicated after Jo won the second set 6-3 displaying a good aggressive tennis. Then the Frenchman imploded to lose his focus and allow Berdych to win the decider with a comfortable 6-1
Talking about his next match with Djokovic and his chances to qualify for the semifinal Berdych says “I don’t like mathematics at all. I will try to play tennis, and that’s it. I will try my best. But Novak just has]shown how great he’s playing right now and that he deserve to be the No. 1 player in the world. It’s a huge challenge for me. But the other hand, he already has two wins, so let’s see what’s going to be in that last match.”
