Super Janowicz to play Ferrer in the 2012 final in Paris

What a remarkable tournament.

All of us were busy doing analyses about who could get to the final with all kind of predictions. Before Federer pulling out, the hot favorites for the first half semifinal were Federer and Murray (if Berdych couldn’t upset Roger).

The impossible happened as a relatively unknown qualifier from Poland came absolutely from nowhere (ie.. the qualifications) to reach the final in Paris (what the h…??!)

The remarkable thing is that Janowicz fully deserved it to beat Kohlschreiber, Cilic, Murray, Tipsarevic and Simon… a huge feat!

Janowicz – Simon 6-4 7-5

Another fine performance from the Polish player that defeats the home favorite in 1 hour and 29 minutes without conceding a single break point. 12 aces on 11 service games have been crucial in order to hold his serve for the entire match.

Janowicz finished the match in tears after a wonderful dropshot.

Ferrer – Llodra 7-5 6-3

David is inches away to win this 1000ATP master. Ferrer had a very good win with Michael Llodra that played a superlative tennis during the entire week. The match lasted 1 hour and 50 minutes.

“It’s going to be a very difficult match because my opponent is playing very, very good,” Ferrer said. “It’s very important for me and for my career.”

Ferrer is the super favorite for the title… but Janowicz … well.. we wouldn’t be sure about that!
