Weird stuff from Denis Shapovalov in the Cincinnati 2nd round.
The Canadian was leading a relatively easy match against Kyle Edmund (6-4 4-0) when things went pretty sideways, and Denis dropped 4 consecutive games (4-4). Eventually, Denis was great in keeping his focus even if he wasn’t to convert 4 match points; Shapovalov was lucky the 5th time to win the encounter 6-4 7-5.
Denis will face either the lucky loser Malek Jaziri or his compatriot Milos Raonic for a place in the quarters.
