Denis Shapovalov has grown up watching his fellow Canadian Milos Raonic rising in the rankings. Now the 19-year-old has the opportunity to beat his compatriot for the second time in the Cincinnati 3rd round as Denis and Milos have already clashed in the 3rd round in Madrid this year, and Shapovalov won 6-4 6-4.
Denis got to this appointment after he defeated Kyle Edmund in the 2nd round 6-4 7-5 while Raonic defeated Malek Jaziri 6-3 7-5.

Denis commented
“I’ve watched him for so many years representing Canada so any chance I get to play him and take him on, it’s a privilege for me. I’m going to go out there and enjoy myself, kind of like I did in Madrid, and hopefully I can play as well.”
