Juna Martin Del Potro may skip the upcoming Australian Open. This is the rumor that is spreading around the social media.

The Tower of Tandil broke his kneecap at the end of 2018 and he got injured again in the very same spot when facing Denis Shapovalov at the Queen’s Club in London during the last European Summer.

However, the Argentinian legend is well known for never giving up. He used to be sidelined for years when he got injured to both his wrists, but he has always managed the way to get back to competitions. Juan Martin was meant to face Roger Federer during his recent tour in Latin America, but he was not ready yet. Later he decided not to play the ATP Cup and now it seems that he will join Any Murray and Kei Nishikori in not playing the Australian Open.

Andy Murray decided not to compete during the Australian Summer because of a pelvic problem while Kei Nishikori is still struggling with a problem with his elbow that has sidelined him since the last US Open.

According to reports, he is still struggling with his knee and given his age (31) there are legit concerns that he might even call it a (great) career.

There is still no official announcement.
