Naomi Osaka had a rather complicated but successful 2019. Everything started in the best possible way with the Japanese winning the Australian Open. However, after partying ways with her coach Sascha Bajin for “obscure” reasons, she had a rather steep dip in her performance. Naomi went back to glory after she parted ways with her new coach Jermaine Jenkins to win back to back the home tournament in Osaka and Beijing. She also appeared in great form during the WTA Finals when she defeated Petra Kvitova before withdrawing from the competition with an injury.
