Nadal to have crazy early 2020 schedule until facing Federer in Cape Town

Federer Nadal

At this stage of his career, Rafael Nadal is extremely cautious about his schedules to avoid to get injured. However, the world no.1 didn’t take it very easy with his upcoming plans this time.

In fact, after a prolonged break following the Laver Cup, the Spanish sensation played the ATP Finals and then a taxing Davis Cup the week after. The King of Clay got a rather short break soon after to resume his training at his beloved Academy. Rafa will compete in the upcoming Mubadala World Tennis Championship (19-21 December) to then go to Perh to spend the end of the year. Later, he will defend the colors of his country again at the ATP Cup (3-12 January).

Rafa will head to Melbourne to try to win his 20th slam (20 January, 2nd February) before going to Cape Town (South Africa) and play an exhibition with his dear friend Roger Federer (7th of February)

Nadal’s injury

Rafa has been dealing with inflammation to his left hand that prevented him from playing the last single at the Laver Cup. There are obvious doubts if this schedule is a bit too hectic for the King of Clay and if he is going to attend all the events he has been scheduled. Time will tell.
