Serena Williams has already conquered the world of sports by storm. Now, she is getting ready to take on the world of fashion next. The American tennis icon has been making her presence in the fashion industry more pronounced in the past few years, partnering with established brands and creating her own sets of products. Williams has now unveiled yet another product line that just might make her the next fashion mogul.
Serena Williams launches an ethical jewelry line
After months of preparing for the launch, Williams just unveiled her first jewelry line. Simply called Serena Williams Jewelry, the collection boasts of 70 core pieces that embody the athlete’s brand of girl empowerment.
Serena Williams Jewelry officially launched on November 08 with a big social media push from the star athlete. As part of the line’s marketing efforts, Williams hosted a big Instagram party on her official account (which has 25 million followers).
What makes Williams’ collection pieces must-haves is the fact that the diamonds used for the jewelry are ethically sourced and conflict-free. Partnering with global manufacturer K.P. Sanghvi, the pieces have been designed and vetted by the popular athlete herself.
Describing the jewelry line, Williams has said that strong women have been a huge inspiration for her designs. She hopes that she will be able to inspire potential buyers of her pieces to have a better self-image and that they will not be afraid to treat themselves.
Among the pieces included in the line are bracelets, rings, earrings, and necklaces. One of the most eye-catching pieces in the collection is a diamond-adorned ID necklace that says “WINNER.”
The pieces in Williams’ jewelry collection will sell within the price range of $299 and $9,999. While there are efforts for availability to expand later, the collection is currently only in Fred Meyer Jewelers online and in some select stores.

Serena, the fashion icon
Serena Williams Jewelry is only one of the star athlete’s efforts to expand her influence and reach in the fashion world. In September, she organized a major show for her S by Serena clothing line.
Scheduled as part of the New York Fashion Week, the event served as the debut runway show for Williams. The crowd was filled with a mix of popular media personalities from the worlds of technology, activism and entertainment. Among those who attended include Kim Kardashian West, Anna Wintour, Ashley Graham, and Noor Tagouri.
Even on the tennis court, Williams is not afraid to push the boundaries fashion-wise. Through her massive partnership with Nike, she showed that people can still wear fashionable clothes while playing in the court. One of the most memorable looks she donned was the short black bodysuit she wore at the U.S. Open.
