German tennis player Alexander “Sascha” Zverev is having a breakthrough moment in his career. The current world no.7 is just fresh from a highly successful Latin American exhibition tour with tennis legend Roger Federer. In fact, the two broke the record for the highest attendance in any tennis match in history during their tour stop in Mexico City.
As great Sascha’s career is going, his personal life is just as flourishing. The young German has now been confirmed to be dating supermodel Brenda Patea, who he has been spotted with multiple times in the past weeks.
Alexander Zverev’s new girlfriend
Patea herself confirmed that she and Sascha are dating. In an interview on the German television network RTL, she narrated how they met in Paris earlier this year. She opened up how glad she is that Zverev is tall (he is at 1.98 cm) because most guys are shorter than she is (1.83 cm).
According to reports, the relationship is still fresh. Patea mentioned that they met during the Paris Masters. It is said that Patea was also in London during the ATP World Tour Finals, where Sascha failed to defend the title he won in the previous year.
After Zverev finished his Latin American tour with Federer, he decided to spend some time with Patea in Mexico. They stayed there for vacation so that they will be able to bond with each other.
Who is Brenda Patea?
As a model and social media star, the 26-year old Patea is no stranger to the spotlight. Born and raised in Berlin, she participated in the 12th cycle of the reality show “Germany’s Next Top Model.” Then credited and known as Brenda Hübscher, she placed tenth overall.
Patea is a rising star in the German modeling industry. In 2017, she was given the New Body Award by McFit Models. She has also been photographed walking a red carpet event during the Mercedez Benz Fashion Week last year.
Sascha’s 2020 plans
With a few weeks left in the tennis calendar break, the German is set to prepare for the 2020 season. But before that, the young German will undergo an eye surgery first. He has not explained what exact procedure he will get but he mentioned that it will be done in New York.
In the coming year, Zverev will defend his Geneva Open title. He hopes to replicate (if not, surpass) his 2018 performance when he snatched four ATP titles
Alexander Zverev’s ranking and performance in 2019
