Sascha Zverev has managed to qualify for the semifinals of the ATP season’s finale in London. The German sensation is managing to shrug off a year that had many challenges for him. Sascha had a traumatic split with his agent Patricio Apey, he parted ways with his coach Ivan Lendl, and he also broke up with his girlfriend Olya Sharypova.
Eventually, Zverev’s year started to get a good turn. He won the title in Geneva and he conquered the decisive point during a thrilling Laver Cup. Later he reached a prestigious final in Shanghai and now he has a shot at defending his title at the ATP Finals. Olya also reappeared in Sascha’s box and apparently the two became an item again.
Where is Zverev’s girlfriend?
It’s rather “normal” to see girlfriends or wives attend the matches of their partners during the ATP Finals unless they have some other duties or the players prefer not to expose their relationships. For example, it was impressing to notice that Berrettini’s girlfriend Ajla Tomljanovic went to London from Perth as soon as the Fed Cup was over just to cheer for his boyfriend.
As pointed out on social media, it was difficult not to notice that Sascha’s girlfriend Olya Sharypova was not with him in London even if she is used to attending Sascha’s matches. On the contrary, she was in Pukhet “documenting” her trip to Thailand.
Are Sacha and Olya still an item?
Going through their Instagram, there is no trace of them together in their respective accounts. Therefore, it’s legit to think that something happened. After this week, Sascha will tour the Latin American with Zverev in a series of exhibitions. Probably, Olya will not be with him.
