Berrettini vs Djokovic. The Italian explains what he is going to do against Novak.

Matteo thinks that he has chances to beat Djokovic in his first match at the ATP Finals.

Berrettini

Matteo Berrettini is about to start his campaign at the ATP Finals on Sunday. Matteo is the first Italian to qualify for the prestigious competition since Corrado Barazzuti managed to do so back in 1978.

Ranked no.8, the Italian is surprised to have reached these heights and he is well aware that he is in uncharted territory. Besides competing in the Finals for the first time, he has never played against the great Novak Djokovic and the Serbian will be his first hurdle at the O2 Arena.

I think I can beat Djokovic

Talking about his experience and what he is going to do against the world no2, Matteo commented:

“I’ve never played him, so it’s going to be all new: the atmosphere, the finals, him. It’s going to be a huge, huge experience, a huge moment for me for my career. But like I did the previous years, I’m really looking forward to learn something, I have put a lot of effort to put myself in this situation. For sure I’m stepping on the court thinking about beating him, but we’ll see what’s going to happen.”
