2012 Shanghai Rolex Master draws: Murray in Federer’s half

Here we are. This is the tournament that could help Roger Federer to make history (once again!) by breaking the 300 weeks record as world no.1. Let’s give a look at the draws.

1st Quarter – Federer

Roger had a very good quarter without any erratic and dangerous boom boom player in his sight. The Swiss Maestro has been a bit unlucky as Murray fell into his half, but the Scott may have not many spare (mental) energies left after his summer feat (Olympics + US Open).
Federer possible path after his bye
2nd round – Zhang
3rd round – Wawrinka
Quarters – Monaco/Verdasco/Cilic (tricky to forecast)
Semifinal – Murray/Isner

2nd Quarter – Murray

Andy is often unlucky in his draws. Then he always find his way. This time it is going to be tough again.
This is the prediction after his bye
2nd round – Tomic/Mayer (Tomic is the worst as he is completely unpredictable if he is not lazy)
3rd round –  Simon
Quarters – Isner
Semifinal – Federer

3rd Quarter – Berdych

Since Ferrer won’t play, Berdych is seed no.4 and he had  the worst possible quarter packed with players that are having a very good Asian swing.
Prediction after the bye
2nd round – Seppi (this can be tricky)
3rd round – Querrey/Nishikori (the Japanese is very inspired as he is in the final in Japan right now)
Quarters – Tsonga/Raonic (not easy)
Semifinal – Djokovic

4th Quarter – Djokovic

Easy stuff for Nole with dangerous people in sight
After the bye.
2nd round – Dimitrov (baby Roger still needs to blossom he can be a problem in 2 years time.. hopefully)
3rd round – Kohlschreiber/Lopez (Feliciano just got injured)
Quarters – Tipsarevic (a very good player, but Nole is just better)
Semifinal – Berdych/Tsonga/Raonic

The Final

Possible final? Federer – Djokovic would be a fantastic pick!
