The film will air from 29th November and will have behind the scenes footage of Murray’s recovery from the hip injury. The project will also feature interviews with Murray’s family, team members, and fellow tennis players such as Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. The documentary will take fans through the British player’s emotional journey from a career-threatening injury and his rehabilitation process, which took a few months.
Anything is possible with the right mindset
Speaking about the documentary, Murray says he wanted to show viewers that, with the right mindset, anything was possible. He stated that the whole experience happened at a critical point in his career. The 3-time Grand Slam champion felt that he was letting people down by being unable to perform on the court. He made the documentary to highlight the challenges that professional athletes go through when dealing with injuries. He revealed that he was at a low point in his life both physically and mentally.
The former world number crowned his comeback last month when he won his first singles title since 2017. He defeated Stan Wawrinka in the final of the European Open in a thrilling match. Wawrinka congratulated his opponent on the victory and said he was happy for him despite the loss. Federer also expressed his joy at seeing the 32-year-old enjoying success after a difficult period away from the game. The British received more good news this month after the birth of his third child. His wife, Kim Spears, delivered a healthy baby boy as was revealed by Murray’s mother Judy. The couple’s other children Sophie and Edie were born in 2016 and 2017 respectively. Murray did not play at the Paris Masters last week. He has been managing his comeback carefully and has said he will rush the process. The 3-time Grand Slam champion will play for Britain in the Davis Cup in Madrid.
