Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic have been breaking all sorts of records during their careers, often outpacing each other.
There are probably 3 records that are now the most discussed by the tennis community. The first one is obviously the total number of slams won. Federer is leading with 20, with Nadal at 19 and Djokovic and 16.
Then there is the famous record of Jimmy Connors of 109 titles. Federer is currently at 103, and if he has a couple of good seasons, he can break also that record.
Finally, there is the record as the most weeks at world no.1. In this case, the leader is Roger Federer as he was for 310 weeks at the top of the rankings. Novak Djokovic had the aim of breaking this record. The Serbian sensation has been leading the top of the rankings for 275 weeks, but his dominance will be halted by the end of this week by Rafael Nadal.
Most weeks in the top 2 places
Yet, another interesting stat (or record) emerged on Twitter as Nadal has just tied Roger Federer as the most weeks spent in the top2 places of the rankings. Both Roger and Rafa stayed for 528 weeks as either the world no.1 or no.2. Obviously, the King of Clay will overtake Roger next week.
