Jelena, Novak Djokovic’s wife, could not hide her joy during her son Stefan’s birthday when he turned five. She took to Instagram and posted a lovely message during her son’s big day. Through the Instagram post, she highlighted the joy and happiness. Stefan has brought into her life from the time he was born.

She hailed Stefan for transforming him into a great mother, a responsibility she did not have any clue about it. Besides, she appreciated her son for being her master, soulmate, life teacher, best friend and guru. Last but not least, she confirmed that Stefan was already becoming a great example to Tara, his little sister.

Who is Jelena Ristic

Jelena Djokovic (formerly Jelena Ristic) is a Serbia national. She is a daughter of Miomir and Vera Ristic. She also has an elder sister, Marija. She met Novak in high school but started dating in 2005. In 2013 September, they got engaged eventually marrying each other on 10th July 2014.

Jelena is pretty much into Social Media, as she often shares snaps of her with Novak on her Instagram account. Furthermore, Novak’s wife is a director at Novak Djokovic Foundation, an organization that assists children in Serbia to achieve their dreams through an enhanced education system.

Djokovic’s children

The couple has two children, a son, and a daughter. Stefan, their first child, was born in 2014 in October whereas, Tara was born in 2017 September.

Djokovic’s wife and children have been very supportive of his tennis career. In various occasions, his family, especially Jelena, have been out there cheering him. However, she did not attend the Wimbledon final in 2017 as she was taking care of Tara, who had just been given birth to that year.

Nevertheless, Stefan and Novak’s parents were present at the Wimbledon final to cheer on the current world No.1. After winning, he chose to celebrate his victory with his son and parents, who were in attendance. Besides, he confirmed that his daughter and wife were indeed in London despite not being in the stadium to support him.

Djokovic helping children in Serbia

The Serbian still finds time to help other people. He established the Novak Djokovic Foundation in 2007, which is concerned with ensuring a significant percentage of Serbian children access early childhood education.

The Novak Djokovic Foundation is committed to creating a safe and conducive environment for children coming from needy communities to grow and learn. According to Novak, the foundation uses a holistic approach that focuses on the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical development of the children.

At the moment, the foundation is concentrating on Serbia, but it has not ruled out the possibility of spreading to other countries. Djokovic believes that spreading this awareness to other countries is very critical.

Novak Djokovic’s ranking and performance in 2019

Now ranked no.1, Djokovic played his last match on the 11th of October when he had to bow to Stefanos Tsitsipas 3-6 7-5 6-3 in the quarter in Shanghai.

This year Novak has a 48-9 win-loss record. Djokovic has won 4 titles in 2019 at the Australian Open, in Madrid, in Wimbledon and in Tokyo. Novak was the finalist in Rome.
