John Isner and wife Madison celebrate the birth of their 2nd child

Isner and Madison will soon have their second baby and the American will miss the Davis Cup finals in Madrid to be with his family.

John Isner has one of the strongest serves in tennis. He has won fifteen ATP titles in his career. The most recent was at the Hall of Fame Open in Newport this past July. The American has also had some progress in his personal life. The 34-year-old is married to his wife, Madison McKinley, and they had their second child.

Who is John Isner’s wife Madison

Madison and Isner’s met each at a tennis tournament in 2011. She was at the tournament with her friends while the current world No. 16 was playing doubles. John and his doubles partner lost their match. McKinley’s friends wanted a picture of the two American players. Madison approached the 2018 Wimbledon semi-finalist for a photograph. He declined and instead asked the girls if they could hang out. Afterward, John and Madison would meet in London during Wimbledon. Isner was playing at the tournament while his future wife was on holiday. They met up and started dating after the tournament. After dating for six years, the highest-ranked US player proposed to Madison in 2017 and the couple got married in December that year. She is a fashion designer and attended the Parson’s School of Design.

When they had their baby girl

The couple soon got their first child the following year. Their daughter, Hunter Grace was born in September 2018. John and Madison shared the news on Instagram and said they were excited to be parents. The good news keeps coming, and in April this year, the couple revealed that they were expecting a second child. To reveal the gender of the baby, Isner smashed a tennis ball with his racket on a court to reveal a blue color. The couple will soon be the parents of a baby boy.

When announcing the birth of the baby boy, John posted a picture with the following message:

“We’re now a party of four! Say hello to John Hobbs Isner born on Oct 20. My little girl couldn’t be prouder to be a big sister and my wife @madkool13 couldn’t be more amazing. I don’t know how you do it. You are and will be the best mother possible. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦”

Isner not playing the Davis cup

As Isner awaits the birth of his second child, he has chosen to skip the Davis Cup finals in Madrid next month. The 34-year-old consulted the USA’s team captain Mardy Fish, who agreed not to select him for this year’s tournament. Mardy’s team will have Taylor Fritz, Reilly Opelka, Sam Quire, Frances Tiafoe, and Jack Sock. The team will miss Isner’s experience, and he is the highest-ranked American on the ATP rankings. However, Mardy said that John had agreed to play for the team in next year’s edition of the Davis Cup.
